DETROIT TO TOLEDO & ACROSS THROUGH CHICAGO

A 3-day, 2,000+ mile road trip from Detroit to Las Vegas requires driving ~11-12 hours daily, typically utilizing I-80 W or I-70 W. Key stops include Chicago, Omaha, Denver, or Utah's scenic routes, with the trip ending in dramatic desert scenery. Budget around $1,000+ for fuel and lodging. 

Potential 3-Day Itinerary

• Day 1: Detroit to Nebraska/Iowa Border (~700-800 miles): Pass through Chicago and Des Moines, staying near Omaha or Lincoln, NE.

• Day 2: Nebraska to Colorado/Utah (~700-800 miles): Drive through Denver and cross the Rocky Mountains into Eastern Utah.

• Day 3: Utah to Las Vegas (~400-500 miles): Drive through scenic Utah, passing near Zion National Park and arriving in Las Vegas. 

Tips

• Best Route: I-80 W is often direct, but I-70 W offers more scenic mountain views.

• Preparation: Check weather conditions, especially in the Rockies, and use AAA TripTik for planning.
